Southwest Ohio ACFE Chapter |
Our chapter engages in charitable and community service activities. One way this is reflected is in our efforts to promote the CFE credential to the next generation of fraud fighters by promoting and offering meetings free of charge for students of criminal justice, law, or business. We also present on related topics at universities in our area.
Additionally, our chapter financially supports the ACFE Foundation. The mission of the ACFE Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is to increase the body of anti-fraud knowledge and support future anti-fraud professionals worldwide. By funding scholarships, endowments, research, and other educational projects, the ACFE Foundation encourages students to pursue careers in fraud examination and provides the latest research on the detection and deterrence of fraud.

In June 2025, our chapter was grateful to serve at Shared Harvest Foodbank in Fairfield, Ohio. We prepared boxes of food for the federal government's Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP); Shared Harvest serves 2,040 seniors under this program (in addition to providing many other programs in the area). This is a well-organized food bank and we had a great experience. It just happened to be timed in June which is Elder Abuse Awareness Month. Read more in our blog post here. |
