Registration

  • For registrants that aren't a member of the Southwest Ohio Chapter of the ACFE and wish to attend the class virtually in Zoom.

In-person attendees will be entered into a raffle where 2 winners will be drawn during the meeting.  The winners can choose their prize of a piece of chapter swag or a free registration or lunch for a future meeting!  In-person registration closes at midnight on Tuesday February 7.  

Speaker: Susan Willeke, Education & Communications Administrator, Ohio Ethics Commission

Topic: The Ohio Ethics Law: Just the Facts (of Jaw-Dropping Investigations)

CPE: 2 Ethics CPE (valid for ACFE and Ohio CPAs for PSR/Ethics)

CPE credits are based on a 50-minute hour.  CPE is offered through the ACFE as well as the Accountancy Board of Ohio (sponsor number CPE.00467).  Attendees must attend 100 minutes of the meeting and answer 6 polling questions during the meeting to validate attendance. 

Learning Objectives

  • Understand how to identify and avoid acting on potential conflicts of interest
  • Understand definition of public contracts and ethics prohibitions related to public   contracts
  • Identify potential post-employment requirements
  • Learn about general assistance available from the Ohio Ethics Commission to understand and comply with the Ohio Ethics Law

Cost: $10 chapter members, $15 non-members

Speaker Bio:

Susan Willeke, Education & Communications Administrator, Ohio Ethics Commission

Susan Willeke is an accomplished government-relations professional with more than 30 years’ experience in public affairs, communication, and public speaking.  Susan joined the Ohio Ethics Commission in 2005 as the Education and Communications Manager where she oversees and conducts educational and communication outreach.  In that position, Susan presents approximately 200 speeches annually, develops information strategies regarding agency programs and represents the Ethics Commission to Ohio citizens, the media, and the Ohio legislature. Prior to joining the Commission, Susan served in the communications office at the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives.
