Topic: Pretext & Privacy in Investigations
This course will provide you with the definition and use of pretexting as it applies to insurance investigations. You will learn about the Federal and State Laws that protect sensitive and confidential information, as well as case law examples that find pretexting to be invasive, case law examples that find pretexting to be allowable, and examples of company policies regarding pretexting and ethical concerns.
CPE: 1 CPE (1-hour meeting)
CPE credits are based on a 50-minute hour. CPE is offered through the ACFE as well as the Accountancy Board of Ohio (sponsor number CPE.00467). Attendees must attend 50 minutes of the meeting and answer 3 polling questions during the meeting to validate attendance.
The presenter will also offer adjuster/insurance CEs for AL, FL, KY, LA, TX, and WA.
