On October 21, 2026, our chapter had the privilege of volunteering at The Foodbank in Dayton, Ohio, supporting its mission to fight hunger throughout the Miami Valley.

Our volunteers rolled up their sleeves to assist with warehouse activities, helping prepare food for distribution to individuals and families throughout the community. By the end of the event, our group had packed 288 boxes of food for seniors, along with 40 boxes of meat.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who volunteered their time and helped make the event a success. Opportunities like this allow our chapter to come together outside of our regular programming and give back to the communities we serve.

For more than 40 years, The Foodbank has served as a primary source of food for the hunger relief network in the Miami Valley. Through its network of more than 110 member food pantries, community kitchens, and shelters, The Foodbank helps support hunger-relief efforts throughout Montgomery, Greene, and Preble Counties.

Thank you to our volunteers and to The Foodbank for the important work it continues to do throughout the Miami Valley. We were honored to play a small part in supporting that mission.
